About us

Viking Welding began in 1972 in Don Johnson’s backyard garage. We are a small family-owned business specializing in a wide range of custom metal fabrications. Our management staff, Donald and Errick Johnson, bring over 70 years of combined expertise to our abilities in working with steel, aluminum, and stainless materials.

Our boat division began in the late 1970’s building fishing vessels for the Maine fishing fleet. Although we are not accepting new boat contracts at this time, it demonstrates our expertise  in custom specialization of metal fabrications.
